DEADLINE: Monday\, March 2\, 2020.\n\n\n\nAWARD CATEGORIES:\n\nBeautification Awards Town of Gates & Town of Chili (one each)\n\nRecognizes an individual or organization for new construction or restoration of existing facilities to enhance the area.\n\n2019 Winners: Chili - Cornerstone Urgent Care Center \n\n Gates Gates Chili Federal Credit Union\n\n\n\nJoseph Entress Memorial Award Economic Development\n\nRecognizes an individual or organization for on-going improvement encouraging continued economic development in the area.\n\n2019 Winner: Taylor Heating & Air Conditioning\n\n \n\nInnovative Business Award\n\nAcknowledges an existing or recent addition to the business community which has stimulated economic growth and commerce\, with regards to product demand and originality of the enterprise.\n\n2019 Winner: Servpro of Northwest and Southwest Monroe County\n\n \n\nCulture and Arts Award\n\nRecognizes an individual or organization whose talents or patronage has strengthened the understanding\, appreciation\, and support of art and culture as an integral part of community life.\n\n2019 Winner: Chili Lions Club\n\n \n\nOutstanding Citizen\n\nRecognizes an individual located in or servicing the Gates and Chili area\, who has contributed to the betterment of the community.\n\n2019 Winner: Robert Jackson (WestSide Express)\n\n \n\nYouth Leadership Award\n\nAcknowledges a youth group or individual (21 years or under) who lives or works in the Gates and Chili area who has provided leadership in a business or business association\, community service to others and serves as a role model among their peers.\n\n2019 Winners: Kynesha Milwood\, Maya Blackwell and Zionah Campbell\n\n \n\nDream Big Award - Small Business of the Year Award\n\nThis award embodies the Spirit of Innovation-they often start small but DREAM BIG. We applaud the example they set and the enormous contribution they make to our area's economy.\n\n2019 Winner: Mammoliti Family (Calabresella's Deli and Studio Expo Salon and Day Spa)\n\n \n\nYoung Professionals Award\n\nAcknowledges an emerging leader between the ages of 24 and 36 who demonstrates excellence\, creativity\, and initiative in their business or profession\, has a proven commitment to service by contributing time and energy to improving the quality of life of others in the community and serves as a role model both personally and professionally.\n\n2019 Winner: Dalton Letta\, Campaign D\n\n \n\nLoretta Simmons Women's Leadership Award\n\nNamed after the Chamber's first president\, this award honors women in leadership roles throughout the area who contribute to the betterment of the community.\n\n2019 Winner: Mary Sperr\, Chili Councilwoman\n\n\n\nSpecial Recognition Awards were presented to:\n\nGates Police Keystone Club in honor of their 50th Anniversary\n\nLeo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home in honor of their 50 year anniversary\n\nGates to Recovery for their work surrounding the Opioid Crisis
